Why Chance?

Hubbell Power Systems, Inc. (HPS) proudly manufactures the CHANCE® helical pile, originally invented by Albert Bishop Chance as the first earth anchor. It was created after a disastrous ice storm which damaged the telephone system, requiring repair of poles and wires.

Today, CHANCE helical piles continue to be a foundation solution for repairing and preventing damage to a wide variety of structures including private residence throughout the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. Foundation problems are most often caused by unstable soil, water damage or construction oversights.

Helical pile technology combines the science of structural and geotechnical engineering to provide solutions with proven reliability for years to come.

Accurate Installations

CHANCE Certified Installers are trained to offer a professional analysis complete with a repair strategy upon the completion of an inspection. This inspection is critical to survey the home’s damage, weight, and local soil conditions. Measurements will be taken during the inspection to complete the structural survey which allows the plan of repair to be reliable, rather than based on assumptions.

Our installation process allows for each helical pile to be installed independently from the structure of the home itself. This prevents any further stress on your foundation. We continually measure the torque of the helical pile throughout this process to ensure that the weight of the structure can be accurately supported. The helical piles, once attached to the home with our innovative brackets, gently shift the weight of your home to the helical foundation system.

They were great, they got the whole thing done in one day and the next day it rained more than it has all year and no water in the basement thanks to the great work and perfect timing.
