Shotcrete Wall Constructed for Ladue Home

As a result of the excavation involved to construct the addition and the code clearance requirements involved, Helitech constructed a temporary shotcrete wall to retain the vertical cut for this St. Louis County home.  Sheet piling was not an option, due to the impact it would have induced upon the residence, and the timber/lag retention system was not an economical solution.

Helical Piers Prove Success in Ladue, MO

Helitech installed (10) ten Helical Piers to support the North & West foundation walls. Helitech then transferred loads of the structure to the piers, which reduced surcharge loading of the soil. Piers were installed to 30-50 Kip capacities and consisted of an 8-10-12 in. diameter helix configuration. Piers reached load capacities at 20-30 ft. depths.
