Mr. and Mrs. Hunt of Scott City, Missouri, needed their garage lifted and stabilized. After searching for a concrete leveling contractor in Southern Missouri, they came across Helitech for their sinking concrete.
Helitech installed 6 Helical Piers, to stabilize, and ultimately lift the exterior foundation of the garage.
Helitech’s Helical Piers had a 1.5″ solid, galvanized, steel shaft, with helical plates situated at the bearing end of each pier. The helical plate aided in the installation of the pile as it pulled the shaft down into competent bearing strata. The helical pier system is ideal not only for this application but for many other conditions where access, equipment concerns, convenience, and efficiency are requirements.
Helitech also lifted the garage floor slab up to a level position. By coring holes through the slab and pumping a non-shrink grout, Helitech was able to fill any voids and ultimately floated the slab to its final position.
Helitech also cut out and re-poured a section of the concrete garage apron. Helitech completed the installation of Helical Piers, which allowed the structure to be leveled and stabilized in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Once Helitech leveled the garage floor and re-poured the concrete apron, Mr. and Mrs. Hunt could comfortably and easily drive into and out of their garage.
Our experiences with Helitech has been very positive especially on the heels of some bad contractor experiences! Mark Keleher was such an awesome front person to work with at the QCCA Expo Home show! He has a wealth of knowledge under his belt and really knows how to work with people! He came to our house and took pictures and was very good about giving an accurate estimate while explaining all of the details of the project. Mark called a few times to check in on us before Charlie and his crew came out and worked very professionally. I had originally taken the time off to watch the progress and to make certain things were on the up and up. Within about an hour of talking to them and Charlie carefully explaining down to the last detail what would be done, I was certain we had professionals in here! It was fun to watch the progress of the basement and I checked in every so often just for my own knowledge.
We were so concerned about the water issues that had been created from a poor job on a cement front porch. After the guys were here, it completely relieved the pressure on the walls, the sump pump and eased our minds completely! We would highly recommend Helitech again, and wouldn’t hesitate to call them if we had any other issues!
