Sinking Garage in Scott City, MO Healed By Helitech
Mr. and Mrs. Hunt of Scott City, Missouri, needed their garage lifted and stabilized. After searching for a concrete leveling contractor in Southern Missouri, they came across Helitech for their sinking concrete.
Helical Piers Found Success for Sinking Garage in Southern Missouri
Helitech installed 6 AB Chance Helical Piers, to stabilize, and ultimately lift the exterior foundation of the garage.
The AB Chance Helical Piers had a 1.5″ solid, galvanized, steel shaft, with helical plates situated at the bearing end of each pier. The helical plate aided in the installation of the pile as it pulled the shaft down into competent bearing strata. The helical pier system is ideal not only for this application but for many other conditions where access, equipment concerns, convenience, and efficiency are requirements.
Helitech also lifted the garage floor slab up to a level position. By coring holes through the slab and pumping a non-shrink grout, Helitech was able to fill any voids and ultimately floated the slab to its final position.
Helitech also cut out and re-poured a section of the concrete garage apron. Helitech completed the installation of the AB Chance Helical Piers, which allowed the structure to be leveled and stabilized in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Once Helitech leveled the garage floor and re-poured the concrete apron, Mr. and Mrs. Hunt could comfortably and easily drive into and out of their garage.
